Is VillaCal free to use?
Yes, VillaCal is completely free to use. Create as many villa calendars as you need without any cost.
Do I need to create an account?
Yes, you need to create a free account to manage your villa calendars. We use a secure magic link system - no passwords required!
Account & Security
How does the magic link login work?
Instead of passwords, we send you a 6-digit code to your email. Enter this code to securely access your account. Each code expires after a short time for security.
Why don't you use passwords?
Magic links are more secure and convenient. You don't need to remember another password, and it reduces the risk of password-related security issues.
Can I change my email address?
You can create a new account with your new email address. If you want to keep your existing calendars and data, please contact us at support@villacal.com and we'll help you change your email address.
Managing Your Calendar
How do I create a new villa calendar?
Click the 'New Calendar' button on your dashboard. Enter your villa's name and location, and you're ready to start managing availability.
What do the different calendar colors mean?
Green indicates available dates, yellow shows booked dates, and gray represents unavailable periods. You can click on any date to change its status.
Can I manage multiple villas?
Yes! You can create and manage as many villa calendars as you need from a single account. Each villa has its own unique calendar and sharing link.
How do I mark dates as available or booked?
Click on any date or drag across multiple dates to select a period. Then choose the status (available, booked, or unavailable) from the sidebar that appears.
Sharing Your Calendar
How do I share my villa's availability?
Each villa has a unique public link. Click the 'Share' button on your villa's calendar page to copy the link. You can share this on your website, social media, or directly with potential renters.
Can people book directly through the calendar?
No, VillaCal is an availability display tool. Visitors can see when your villa is available, but bookings must be handled through your preferred method (email, phone, booking platform, etc.).
Is my calendar public?
Only people with your villa's unique link can view its availability. The calendar won't appear in search engines unless you specifically share the link publicly.
Technical Issues
I didn't receive my login code
Check your spam folder first. If you still can't find it, wait a few minutes and try again. Make sure you're entering the correct email address. If problems persist, contact support@villacal.com.
The calendar isn't loading properly
Try refreshing the page or clearing your browser cache. VillaCal works best on modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). If issues continue, please contact our support team.
Can I use VillaCal on my phone?
Yes! VillaCal is fully responsive and works on all devices - phones, tablets, and computers. You can manage your calendars on the go.
